Our Story
I have to thank my son Alex for all his help with taking care of the dogs...without him we could never do what we do!
...and without my daughter Brigitte, I wouldn't have the second pair of hands!
My daughter Brigitte and I became involved in whippets six years ago. I was brought up with poodles and later in my life owned and bred maltese. We also had papillons for years and was looking for a breed with less maintenance. After researching for quite some time, we came to the conclusion that a whippet was right for us and our family. We came across a breeder Patti Coles, Hi Tor Sighthounds, that got us started and has mentored us with the breed. We will be forever grateful to Patti for everything she has done. Of course, the "potatoe chip" syndrome happened and we now have five whippets.
We were then given an opportunity to own a borzoi from Patti and fell in love. We have two wonderful borzoi. So there goes the theory on less maintenance. We show in conformation and Brigitte shows in junior handling. We breed occasionally when we are ready for another pup. All of our dogs are part of the family, home raised, not in a kennel. We are proud of our lines and hope to continue our dream of these beautiful animals.
You'll see from all the pictures, these friends of ours are part of our family. Enjoy!
