Diana's Pregnancy Confirmed!....Puppies due mid-June!!!.....

I breed healthy & happy imported English & Irish CKC registered dogs able to do & love the work for which they were originally bred. To me, excellent temperment & health is of paramount importance.

Currently, I have two Golden Retrievers. My dogs share my home with me. Amblemere Desire, "DIANA," was imported from England's Amblemere Kennel. Her bloodlines are superb. Her British father, Eng. & Irish SH. CH. Gunhills Blue River, is from internationally respected Bluewaters Kennel. Her son Ambleside Adam, "BLUE," has English/Irish bloodlines. His sire is from Ireland's internationally respected Erinderry Kennel .

My dogs have their own icon with pictures & information about them. Each is unique & all are wonderful companions.

The ICON, In Memory Of, has pictures & describes my first Golden Retriever, "AMOS." Domans Play Misty For Me. He was a wonderful, loving companion.  My girl "PEBBLES" Oriana Still Waters Run Deep was a joy to live with.

The dogs I breed have passed a yearly CERF eye exam, passed both hips & elbows from one or more of the following organizations; the British Veternarian Association (BVA) standard, OFA, PENHIPP, or OVC standards. They also have passed a Board Certified Heart Examination.

In 2006, I bred my English Import, Amblemere Desire, "DIANA'" to very handsome Irish Import, "DARCY," Erinderry Harry Potter of Ventess. "DIANA" gave me five handsome & healthy boy pups. All found wonderful homes. I kept AMBLESIDE Adam, "BLUE," hoping he passes all required tests & turns out studly in a couple of years.

At the bottom of the ICON  DIANA'S FIRST LITTER   each of her pups has his own photo gallery. Photos are added when their families send them. With prior permission, these families can be contacted for a reference about the pup they got from AMBLESIDE English & Irish Golden Retrievers.

This litter was so exceptional, l'll be repeating it in early 2008. Reservations are strongly suggested. The ICON 2008 Litter Plans  has pictures & background information about this breeding & the sire, Erinderry Harry Potter of Ventess, "DARCY."  Although my first litter was all boys, "DARCY'S" breeding track record proves that he produces slightly more girl pups than male pups.

The LINKS ICON allows you to go to the Kennels my dogs and those sires I bred come from. A link is provided for K9data.com. Go to that website, put in the dog's official name (example: Ambleside Adam) & hit the submit button. That dog's bloodline history going back generations, health scores, & earned Titles of contributing Golden Retrievers can be found on this very informative website.

Expectations For Any Of My Re-Homed Pups
Golden Retrievers crave & need human company. They are family dogs. A Golden Retriever is always happy to see & be with you. They love you, despite yourself.  They spend their lives trying to please you & are happiest when they succeed.

Any dog deserves life-long health care, affection, direction, & respect. Cute Golden Retriever pups grow up into medium sized, athletic strong dogs. Both owners & pups need obedience training, especially the owners. Golden Retrievers require exercise, no matter the weather. They get wet &/or dirty when they play. They like to play, a lot. Golden Retrievers are handsome dogs, with lovely coats that shed. Shedding and Golden Retrievers go hand in hand.

My CKC registered pups are re-homed on a CKC Non-Breeding AgreementEach pup will have been temperment tested, dewormed at least twice, had a microchipped implanted for identification purposes, & will have had their first vacinations. All pups will have been thoroughly vet examined and deemed healthy before they leave my care. They'll be CKC registered & will have a written health & temperment guarantee.

I want my pups to be re-homed only with families willing to make room in their lives for another family member. My pups are not yard dogs; they're household family members. I don't want to re-home my pups with families who'll 'need' to give up their dog because keeping them becomes inconvenient, family status changes, home relocation is necessary, etc. I do recognize there are legitimate times when a pup has to be given up. I am obligated to take the dog back &/or help re-home them. My Separate Contract stipulates that I get first choice to take back any puppy or adult dog/bitch that can no longer be kept, whatever the reason. In addition, my prior permission is required before they are sold, re-homed, or given away, whatever the reason.

As a responsible breeder, I keep watch over any puppy I breed for the length of their life. I want continued contact with my pups' families & will be available for help or information. Re-homed pups &/or dogs living near me are welcome for any overnight or extended visits.

My Background
I've been involved with Golden Retrievers for over 10 years. My first boy, "Amos," got me hooked on this breed. I take on-going Obedience training, have done Field Work, & currently show my dogs in Conformation. I belonged to the British Columbia Golden Retriever Club for several years. Now living in Kingston Ontario, I am a member of the Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever Club, a CKC member & plan to join the UKC shortly. My Kennel, AMBLESIDE, is CKC registered.
