Australian Judge, Ms. M. Merchant gave "Blue" Best of Breed. Just over 2 ago, this same Judge gave "Blue" his first 4 CKC points. I'd hoped she'd like how he'd matured. It seems she did. She told handler Thomas Curley that
"Backus," only 13 monts old, received Reserve Winners Male.
Both "Backus" & "Blue" were extremely well cared for & attended by Diane Bell. Her partner, Thomas Curley showed both to their best. Thank you Diane & Thomas for the time, attention, & caring you gave my boys before, during & after the Show.

"Blue", expertly handled by Kim Groves went Best of Breed under Judge Janet Lobb at the Essex County Kennel Club Show.

My 1st home bred Golden, "BLUE" Ambleside Adam CGN, RTD (Erinderry Harry Potter at Ventess X Amblemere Desire) is now a Champion (pending CKC approval) & got Best of Breed at St. Catherine's District Kennel & Obedience Club under Swedish Judge, Nils Molin.
Graeme Burdon showed BLUE to Winners Male. Jill Talyor handled him winning Best of Breed. Emily Burdon showed BLUE in the Group Competition.

PLEASE NOTE: To be fair to Diana, she was pregnant, she doesn't enjoy the Conformation Ring & the young lady showing her for me had never before handled a dog/bitch.

He'd lost ALL his coat, & was entered against stiff competition. Internationally respected All Breed Professional Handler, GRAEME BURDON, agreed to handle Blue as a personal favour, despite never working with Blue before. He took time to groom Blue to his satisfaction & worked with him so they'd get used to one another. Graeme presented Blue beautifully, getting Blue to show his full stride. Graeme got Blue WINNERS DOG. Prior obligations meant Graeme couldn't handle Blue any further. Professional Handler, COLLEEN TINLIN, showing Graeme professional courtesy, handled Blue in the Best of Breed Competition where Blue won BEST OF WINNERS. The judge awarding Blue his 4 POINTS - Australian Judge, MS. M. MERCHANT. Many thanks to everyone for their help showing Blue so well & to Judge Merchant for recognizing his qualities & awarding him points. June 23rd & 24th, 2007 - Canine Federation of Canada Show Blue entered his first 4 Canine Federation of Canada Conformation Shows on June 23rd & 24th, 2007, turning one year old the day after the shows. He was judged against British Golden Retriever Conformation Standards. Although he recieved Excellent Qualifications under all 4 Judges he was still to young to meet the Federation's requirements, so was unable to recieve his Official title that day. EXCELLENT QUALIFICATION. He said: Excellent head, excellent eyes, excellent bite, excellent neck & top line, correct tail placement, excellent coat & colour, had correct movement.

EXCELLENT QUALIFICATION. He said: Very sound, compact dog with good coat, correct pigmentation, perfect head, extra skin around neck, good rear, strong back, good chest, perfect angulation, correct tail position, feet splayed out, flowing movement.

EXCELLENT QUALIFICATION. She said: Excellent appearance. Excellent coat but too light in colour, very well pigmented in nose, eyelids, & mouth. Very good body proportions. Excellent head & dentation. Excellent angulation front & rear. Excellent movement & tail carriage. He needs time to mature.
