We are a Kennel located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York State. Situated on 3 fenced acres, our dogs enjoy access to woods, streams, and large grassy yards every day of the year.We feel that excercise and fresh air are a key element in the development of a healthy,beautiful, and well adjusted Whippet.
We purchased and developed our property with the sole purpose of creating the ideal setting to raise Whippets, which are, above all else, athletes. All our dogs live in our house, without the use of indoor/outdoor kennels.We feel this allows us to have maximum interaction with each individual.We have large paddocks designed as play yards, where our dogs can run, play, or sunbathe.The woods allow them to hone their hunting instincts, and the grassy meadows give them opportunities to test their speed against each other.
This ideal setting, along with superior bloodlines, have allowed us to develop a family line of beautiful, healthy, and sane Whippets.
2008 marked our 20th year of breeding Whippets. In that time we finished over 40 American champions as well as several Canadian champions. Our dogs won at many AWC Specialties, and 2008 culminated in our best year ever. We finished the year among the Top Whippet Breeders, finishing 7 champions, recieving our first Register Of Merit title, being awarded Winners Dog at the National, and most prestigious of all; being chosen the best Whippet, over the Top 20 Whippets in the Country!
We decided that this would be a good time to step back and assess our contribution to the breed. As 2010 starts a new decade, we too hope to renew our devotion to Dogs as companions, with an emphasis on health and temperament as it pertains to the pet-owning public.We look forward to all the possibilities that lay ahead.
