BIS BISS AM CAN INTL CH Kingsbury Sweet Desert Fire, CD was bred by Donna Smiley-Auborn of California and Co Owned with Kevin Shupenia of Jackpot Hounds in Duluth, Georgia Jaunty was campaigned in the year 1997 and she was Canada's Top Harrier, and Number Two Hound. She is the breed record holder for number of dogs defeated and for number of Best in Show wins in a year . She received an incredible TEN all breed best in shows during that campaign. In the USA Jaunty has won the breed at Westminster as well as winning the American Harrier Club National Specialty TWICE. She was ranked #2 Harrier in the USA to her littermate. Jaunty left us late last year to continue her journey on to the Rainbow Bridge. She was thirteen years old.
Can Am Ch Valona's Shaman was bred by Ed and Pat Macdonald of Victoria, BC and Valona Standard Smooth Dachshunds. Buddy and I spent a lot of years together and to date is one of my special dogs. He is the son of one my own females Kiwi. Buddy won several puppy in shows as well as Best Puppy In Specialty shows in 1995. At that time we were pleasantly surprised to see him winning Top Standard Smooth that year. He would repeat this standing between the years of 1996 - 1999 with 1997 being his heavy campaign year. Buddy achieved the status of Number Three Hound once and Number Ten Hound twice. He is a multi group placer and Specialty winner in the USA as well as boasting of well over ONE HUNDRED GROUP FIRST wins and TEN all breed Best in Shows. Buddy is twelve years old now, and just recently came off a big Veteran Sweeps win with his breeder/owner Old Macdonald. He truly is that once in a lifetime dog. In January 2007 Buddy quietly left us for his journey to the Rainbow Bridge.
BIS BISS CAN AM Ch Taugo's B Flyte Of Ryzann was co bred with his owner Merla Thomson of Calgary, Alberta and Lee Ann Shank. Flyte was campaigned in the year of 1998. He was honored with SEVEN all breed Best in Shows. This put him at Canada's Top Borzoi, and Number Five Hound with an incredibly strong Hound group out West that year. In 2000 Flyte won the Canadian Borzoi National. He then travelled to the Borzoi Club of America Nationals where he was Breeder/Owner/Handled to his BEST OF WINNERS AND BEST OF OPPOSITE win. Sadly Flyte left us in 2005, but his progeny are following in his footsteps at Taugo.
BIS BISS CAN AM Ch Xplosive SW Treis Pinheiros is bred by Carlos and Patricia Pedrosa of Curitiba, Brazil. He is co owned with us here at Chilcotin and is our "token" Standard Wire Dachshund. Imported at 7 months, Schroeder came with already a long list of achievements from Brazil, including group first wins. Schroeders puppy career came on fast and strong making him a multi group winner by the time he was 9 months old. He won an incredible TWENTY FIVE Best Puppy in Groups and FIVE Best Puppy In Shows. His first BIS was awarded at 15 months of age. He achieved his American Title in quick order, with majors at specialties as well as Best Of Variety wins and Group placements to finish. In 2003 we decided to campaign him and see where that would lead. Schroeder finished the year with Number Three Hound and TEN all breed Best In Show wins. The majority of these honors were with my sister Alana handling him. Schroeder is six years old now, and we sit back and watch his children and grand children do the show , tracking and field rings proud.
