"Fletcher"
Can Am Ch Geistvoll Made To Order |
BIS BISS AM CAN CH Geistvoll Made To Order was bred by Jim and Rene Pope of the USA. Fletch was owned by Frank Groves and Diana Garner of Calgary, Alberta. By the time I received Fletcher for his campaign year in 1993, he already had come with an impressive record. Going BEST OF WINNERS at the USA National owner handled by Frank was one of many highlights for Fletchers career. He is the record holder for the breed and it will take a long time to surpass it. With FORTY SEVEN Best in show wins (Twenty Five being in one year) Fletchers Campaign resume included the following. He was Canada's Number One Standard Schnauzer , TOP WORKING DOG , TOP WESTERN DOG, AND NUMBER THREE ALL BREEDS for the year.He is a past winner of the Canadian National from the veterans class (shown by my sister, Alana) in 1998. As well as us winning the prestigious GROUP FIRST at the Santa Barbara Kennel Club, Fletch won the Award of Merit at the American National the next day under Mrs Clark. In his retirement years, Fletch and his son Catcher were unbeatable as a duo for Best Brace in Show with owner Frank...In 2004 we bid farewell to truly one of the great specimens of our time. Fletch was 14 1/2 years old. As of writing in 2006, his son Catcher, (another top schnauzer and BIS winner) is still going strong at age 14.

"Jada"
BISS BIS Ch El Diablo's Jade |
BIS BISS CH El Diablo's Jade is bred by Lesley and David Purewall of B.C. Jada is lovingly owned by Deb Romans and Inga Rech of Tofield, Alberta. A multi puppy group winner, Jada continued on her winning ways by winning her first best in show at 16 months of age. Although a black cloud seemed to hang over Jada throughout her career, we survived it. What ever could go wrong did, with Jada helping along the way. Whether it was stealing a whole chicken off the counter and being too sick to be shown the day after a BIS win, or a bee sting allergy, or her chewing a hole in her side en route on a flight to a Specialty weekend, her and I experienced it all. Jada definitely taught me patience. Her fun loving attitude towards the ring was what carried us through. She finished her campaign year by winning the last Specialty show of the year and was then retired. In 2004, Jada was CANADA'S TOP DOBERMAN and NUMBER SIX WORKING DOG. She is currently getting back into shape from whelping box duties and anxiously looking forward to her babies debut.

"Lincoln"
Can Am Ch Snowghost's Hot Rod Lincoln |
BIS BISS CAN AM CH Snowghost's Hot Rod Lincoln was bred by Michael Palutke of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Although for the most part, Lincoln and Mike hit the campaign trail hard in 2004, I was around to pinch hit for the shows they could not attend together. It was my pleasure to take such a quality dog stateside and have Lincoln achieve his American Championship in just four days worth of shows. Mike was not surprised, as Lincoln had already proven his qualities by wins achieved in Canada. Although Jada and Lincoln were often in the same set up, there was never any animosity which is something that so lacks in the shows of today. They would take turns winning as well as losing, but both became top dogs that year. Lincoln finished off 2004 with becoming Canada's TOP SAMOYED and the NUMBER EIGHT WORKING DOG. Although the Snowghost Legacy has now ended with Mike's tragic death in 2005, Lincoln babies are now becoming old enough to continue on in their dad's footprints.

Ch Jurassik's Miss Saigon
Kyoto |
Kyoto is Breeder/Owner/Handled by Kim Boucher of Carvel, Alberta. This amazing bitch started her career with a Best In Show while still a puppy! This led the way for TWENTY ONE all breed Best in Show wins. During Kyoto's campaign year, I had the pleasure of taking her on the road when Kim could not get away. She finished off the year as Canada's Top Doberman, Number Three Working Dog and NUMBER FIVE ALL BREEDS. She is out of Am Can Ch Fabert's Field Of Gold and Ch Jurassik Crossing Grandstand, CD. Currently, Kyoto is just finishing up maternal duties, as we anxiously await the maturity of her offspring.
