Solo-Izzy litter born 7/30/08
Wendy, First off, I can't believe we have had Zoey 5 weeks already. I must say, she's growing like a weed! She has the longest legs! the pictures I'm sending her were last week when she was 11 weeks. Second, just wanted just to update that she is everything we could have hoped for in a puppy. Don't get me wrong, I think all puppies come with the sharpest little teeth and can be quite mischievous at times. But, for the most part Zoey is pretty mild manner and is extremely smart. She has mastered many commands already and enjoys following us where ever we go. She's basically house trained (except for a minor accident now and then) she'll come, sit, lay and with some coaxing roll over. I love her coat, it's a very short coat thus far for a golden. I just wanted to let you know what a sweetheart of a puppy she is! Nancy Pascutoi

Wendy, Cappy - Morag pup DOB 12/4/07 I just wanted to give you an update on my golden pup I purchased from you. She is now a bit over 9 months and retreiving waterfowl fairly solid on land and water. It is a bit sloppy when she is carrying a goose being that she is only about 55pds, but that is understandable. She has a great nose and I am very happy with her progress. I will be starting her on upland also this year as well. Attached are pictures from her first river hunt as well as her first field hunt. I hope all is well! Justin Wilk

Wendy, Here are pictures of Gracie. I took them last Saturday. She is really a good puppy. I have a stuffed duck the quacks and I can throw the toy and she will go and get it an bring it back every time. We went to the vet a week ago for shots and she weighed 10 pounds. I think she keeps getting taller and is taking her time on filling out. The vet says that she is doing ewll. We started heart worm medicine on the first. I will keep you updated on her progress. Thank-you again for such a wonderful puppy. She has very quickly become an important member of our family and she is doing very good with crate training. Have a great week!

Cappy Morag Male pup DOB 12/4/07
All is going great, he is learning quickly, with some setbacks here and there. He has his crate commands and getting the paper down pat already as well as a few sit, stay etc. Rome wasn’t built in a day though so it will take time. We are off to a good start, vet said today all looks great. Still getting his series of shots. Thanks again Wendy you really made us happy, except when he makes a mess!!

Wendy, I just wanted to pass on a couple pics. Bixby had his first photo shoot today. Did I mention I rent out all my dogs for commercials and print advertising. He’s developing well. Obedience is coming nicely and the birdiness just gets stronger. Hope all is well. Take care.

Hi Wendy,Just wanted to give you an update on Tucker. He is the male pup we got from Chuck and Susie Carr. He is growing like a weed and is very smart for 4 months old. He knows sit, down, stay and kennel. I can't wait to start obedience training on the leash. I think he is going to be a natural. He loves people and birds. He watches the snow birds fly around the pasture and keeps his eyes on the chickadees in the trees. He has 2 pigeons under his belt already. He is very birdy and he was only 10 weeks old.I also wanted to let you know that if you get the Foster & Smith catalog watch for him on the April issue. He had his first photo shoot when he was 11 weeks old. He just finished his second shoot on Monday 2/26. They love him. The photographer said he is very photogenic and is very easy and enjoyable to work with. He will be used throughout the catalog as well. I have enclosed one of the pics he did modeling a dog bed.I will keep you updated with pics as he grows. He is well over 30 pounds at 4 months. He is going to be a big boy but I don't mind. My other golden was 80+ pounds too. Take care. Theresa James, Rhinelander, WI (Timber-Sunny puppy) |

Wendy,
Hello - I have been meaning to send you these things. I have attached a picture of Cody. This was taken a few weeks after we picked him up. Also in the link below there is a picture of him. I am able to take Cody to work with me and a local paper did an article on pets in the work place.
He is such a great dog.
Thanks so much!

Howdy from western South Dakota. This is "Sunny" from Cappy & Paige. He is three,65lbs,he is a pocket Hercules. We only hunt alone, only wild birds, mostly in the shadow of the Badlands, north of Wall SD. His nose and heart are so fantastic, we are able to find birds, even out here! He has never had shock collar, only whistle and hand signals. He once retrieved a bird out of heavy cover, and came back with porcupine quills & pheasant! A quick pull of the quills, and he was back in business. I feel that with Cappy's blood and little training, any of his pup's can be GREAT. I was going to hunt test him but I'm too busy hunting. Much the same as Dez Young & Dash. ps: I never spoil him---- Paul Mcquilkin

My daughter and I were on your website today and I couldn't resist sending you an email about our Pookha. She was in the small litter born of Chisholms-Sho-Gun Winchester and Topbrass Bonnie Appetite on July 24, 1998. She is now 8 years old and the same age as me (56) ... we are entering our golden years together! This dog has the life! Not a show dog or a hunting dog. Just LOVED to death. I have attached some photos of her at home, at our cabin in Wisconsin, with her buddies (my daughters dogs). She is such dear animal. She is smart, she is beautiful and she is healthy. Always on the watch for anything that moves and ready for the chase (she has caught a few squirrels), she is young at heart. |
She can't wait to go jogging with me, sleeps with us on our bed and snuggles every morning with me to start our day, loves to carry things in her mouth (brings my socks to bed with her, greets me at the door with my shoe in her mouth and her tail wagging), loves people (much more than dogs), catches tennis balls, swims everyday in the summer, loves the outdoors, goes out with me in the kayak, is protective, likes to lie on the soft couch, enjoys attention. Maybe that sounds like many of your puppies! She is so dear and does such cute things :-)
She has talked with animal communicators! She has tried agility. She is a certified Pet Partner with the Delta Society and we have just become an Animal Ambassador team with the Humane Society! She gives to others love because she gets so much of it! We have been going to a battered women's shelter every week for over a year and she is incredible at reading the needs of the people there. This summer we were outside in the playground at the shelter and she laid on her back, legs sprawled and the children were petting, touching and brushing her all at once. My mom has had memory loss for the last eight years and Pookha has been my therapy dog. She was so patient with my mom and would sit with her for long periods of time while my mom gently pet her. Her fur is so soft that you can't keep from petting her! She is such a gift and I am thankful for her every day. And she knows it! You will get a kick out of her ever-growing-longer "name" ... Snickerdoodle, cashmere snuggle bunny, miracle merry sunshine, lucky ducky doggie, lickety split, yoda, yoga Pookha girl! All of those adjectives describe her different ways of "being."
At this time of year when people express their thanks, I just want to thank you again for her! Happy holidays, Wendy Hitch |

Hi Wendy,
We've been meaning to write to you, but have been super busy with the holidays, hunting, and training the puppy. We took Bailey on a couple of day hunting trips at Jeff's brother's in the Cambridge area. He kept up with the other dogs, even on the long walks through cattails and corn fields. Some walks were even hard on the older dogs (and humans!) but he kept right up and didn't slow down! The fun part was when Jeff had an overhead shot and the rooster landed a few yards away from him, and Bailey went right to the bird and tried to pick it up. I think we have another hunter in the family! He's growing so fast. He has a super personality. He can be very cuddly and mellow, and then when we try to correct him and say "no" when he's misbehaving, he will start barking at us, like he's "talking back". We can't help but laugh at him. Abbie, the other dog we got from you two years ago, is happy to have another dog to play with! I think as he gets older and bigger, he will be the new alpha in the house! He's been doing pretty good with the house training. Not quite housebroke, but almost there! Jeff works with him every day with retrieving the bumper, gun training, and obedience. He's very impressed with him. Thanks Wendy, for another great dog!

Hi Wendy,
Just got back from opening weekend in Nebraska,Kosmo had a great hunt. It did'nt take her long to learn about chukkars, and we had lots of pheasant opportunities... I'm really pleased with her birdiness, she had a lot of flushes, both pheasant and chukkar.
She also is learning to quarter quite well, we had a group of 5 with a total of 3 dogs, the other 2 my neighbors yellow labs. Our guide was very surprised that Kosmo is only 9 months old, he was impressed. |

Thanks again Wendy we got a good one here!!

Hello Wendy,
We purchased a puppy from you in December 2001 from the liter of Cappy & Sky, what a treat. Her name is "Bella" and is truly the best bird dog I have ever had. We live on 17 acres in the country which she has loved since the day we brought her home. I love to hunt pheasants which is what attracted us to your kennel in the first place and at the age of three, Bella came into her own. Every year she amazes me more. We would be doing better this year if I could hit a few more birds but we have fun. We got a digital camera finally so I thought I would send you some pic's of her from this year.
We lost our other dog Annie on July 4th weekend and I am sure Bella would like another playmate, so in a few years my wife and I will be in touch with you to get on your list for another puppy.
I started Bella hunting with our older dog Annie and she started to show signs of improvement every time out. At age 2 she was starting to hunt on her own, but at 3 she was well on her way. She has a very hard mouth with birds and loves to carry things around. I have a large collection of one handed gloves that she has collected from the many truck drivers that have delivered to our house. She is truly a dream to be around. She weights 72 lbs now but looks very trim, she is a little bigger than what I thought she would be. Well we should go now but I will stay in touch. Tim & Chris Csiacsek
