As promised, here is Patter's page :-)
Patter is the result of a loose line breeding on the Butterblac lines, via Kathy Carbone's Presto,(Sonyc Golden Retrievers in West Virginia).
Kathy started her Golden Retriever breeding program with a dog she purchased from the Butterblac Kennel. Not only is Presto is a decendant of that dog, but through very wise breeding decisions on Kathy's part, he brings a number of other versatile Golden Retrievers into this pedigree.
If you visit the k9data link, on my links page, and look at the full, titled, clearance listed pedigree of this breeding (by typing in Joyso's All Fired Up) you will see it holds within it the strong potential for healthy, long lived Golden Retrievers with wonderful Golden Retriever temperament.
So far, Patter is showing she has inherited the potential that lay in her pedigree.
In Patter's 2 weekends out in the show ring in 2007, she was undefeated in her class, which included a 1st place win at The Sporting Group Specialty Show!
Continuing her winning ways in 2008, Patter, was entered in 9 conformation shows, where she took Reserve Winners Bitch in 6 of them.
Patter is also going "great guns" <g> in the area of field / retrieving training.
She tackles this task with such obvious natural instinct.
It is truly a thrill to watch Patter not only doing what a Golden Retriever was originally bred to do, but doing it with such enthusiasm!
Even though Patter possesses the energy required to do what is asked of her in the field, she is a very calm and easy going dog to live with in my home. She is a very sweet girl who just loves to cuddle.
To date, with regard to the required health checks we do on our Golden Retrievers, Patter received her OVC normal hips and elbows at 18 months of age, she also had her required heart check with a normal result and has had 3 normal result eye checks.
Having turned 2, I x-rayed Patter's hips & elbows and sent them off to OFA for evaluting purposes. I am ecstatic to report that Patter received OFA excellent hips & normal elbows.
This OFA excellent hip rating makes the 3rd generation of Joyso Goldens to have the OFA excellent rating!
Less then 5 % of the golden retrievers, whose x-rays are submitted for evaluating by OFA, result in an OFA excellent rating, to say we are happy is an understatement!
Patter has also received her OFA normal heart certificate.
A special thanks to all the breeders & kennels, of the dogs on whom my present day breeding plans are based, whose wise breeding decisions have given me such a great foundation to build on!
Patter's 1st litter is planned for 2009.
