Shaker and her daddy Revel

Achievements:
Shaker is the female pup I have kept from the Revel x Mocha litter.

As Revel is 14 1/2 and stopped entertaining the ladies a long time ago <g>, this litter was achieved by using his frozen semen.
This breeding brings together pedigrees which contain some very respected dogs and kennels who have made lasting contributions to the golden retriever breed.
Many of these goldens have and still are living long and healthy lives, many have and still are achieving success in not only the conformation ring but in other endeavors such as obedience, field, agility & tracking as well.
To say this breeding has great potential is an understatement!

True to her pedigree, Shaker is a smart, confident puppy who is always aware of what is going on around her.
Shaker is more then willing to explore and enjoy new things which come her way.
She has fit in very well with my other dogs, who I must give honourable mention to as being simply wonderful and patient with Shaker's puppy enthusiasm for life.
As pictured above, even her old dad Revel, is patient with this new little addition.

I am so very happy Kathy Carbone, of Sonyc Golden Retrievers, decided to do this breeding for it has allowed me the opportunity to have this special little Shaker girl in my life and my breeding program.

As Shaker grows up and is exposed to more and more that life has to offer, I see so very much of her dad "Revel" in her.
To say Shaker is great with children, which was one of her daddy's best known traits, is an understatement!
One evening people were visiting who were going to purchase a puppy from Mocha's second litter.
The one lady had brought her little daughter with her.
As is normal we were all visiting and playing with the puppies, not taking in too much noticve of the older goldens I have.
I looked around when I heard squeals of laughter from another part of the yard.
There was Shaker gently playing with the little girl.
As I stood for awhile, just watching these two innocents happily playing together, I began to quietly cry to myself.
To see Shaker and just what a natural she could be with children brought memories of her daddy Revel flooding back to me, as he was the very same way with children.
We would call him "velcro - dog" when children were around as he was wrapped around them their entire visit here.
Shaker, as did her daddy, just loves kids and most importantly instinctively knows how to behave around them.
How blessed am I to have Shaker possess this hallmark of her daddy Revel, my very special boy.
I wish I had taken pictures of this but I was too busy simply enjoying the moment :-)
The pictures, I have in my mind, will last a lifetime.

Shaker shows this same desire and natural ability to relate well with youngsters with our newset addition, Lucy.
Shaker has taken on the role of nanny, life guide, playmate, protector...you name it, with Lucy.
The two are inseperable, playing & sleeping together and Lucy looks to Shaker for all her "leads" in life.
It is beautiful to watch ;-)

Shaker appears to also have inherited Revel's natural desire to retrieve.
She is forever chasing the birds around the yard.
Soon, I plan on taking her to my field trainer's property to see just how "birdy" this girl is.
It would be nice to have a golden to have some birdy fun with again :-)
