Brottsjo at 6 weeks, a real charmer!

Brottsjo was my own homebred Champion... his name Brottsjo meant Breaker in Norwegian. He was very sweet and willing to do just about anything with me that I wanted to do...... He really loved obedience and had such joy in the ring that he inspired others to try obedience with their elkhound.
Brottsjo was the epitomy of the Versatile Champion...
Agility - 18 titles in 4 Registries.
Breed Champion in both AKC and UKC, Pointed in Canada.
Carting -Working cart dog and demo dog at fairs

Lure Coursing - Wisconsin State Fair Demo Dog
Modeling - Head shot on cover of Elkhound Annual, and in several books to represent the breed. Head shot in AKC Gazette for column on head type.
Obedience - 19 titles in 5 Registries. 24 HIT and 11 HC Awards.
Top Elkhound in NEAA for 2000 and 2001.
Top Hound in Canada for 1998 and 2001.
2nd Place Hound Group 2002 at AKC Obedience Invitational
Pet Therapy -Regular participant from age of 6 weeks at nursing homes,general hospitals with rehab and psychiatric patients and schools.
Rally Obedience - Earned all three titles RN, RA, RE in the first year and was the first elkhound to earn the RAE.
Scent Hurdle - Wisconsin State Fair 2nd place
Tracking - TD earned in 2002

We have fought as well we know how, and still the enemy has won. Today I have lost my best friend, my partner and brave boy, a vital part of my life for 12 years to mast cell cancer. .
He came into the world falling into my hand straight from his mother's womb and left it in my loving arms......
He was a living legend, an icon to the breed... and hero in my heart. He would do anything for me, with a smile on his face and a wagging tail... my sweet Brottjso. I face this day with an empty heart.
I can't imagine life without him.
Loved and missed desperately....
