Achievements:
When our neighbor became ill, we took in his dog. He died two years ago and Beau became ours. ..he fit in well having spent a lot of time here anyway...he loved to sit out on the hill in the breeze and in the summer would beg to go lie in the cool basement.
I have never heard a dog mourn his master as heartwrenchingly sad and loud until I told him he was now OUR dog.
He tried to fit in, even playing with the elkhounds,and I swear his tail started to curl. He and Briskke were great friends and even when he got pushy with Briskke they never fought. They would have barking arguements tho.... never serious.
Finally after 2 years with us, old age and arthritis just slowed him down until we knew he needed to go and find his friend Bob at the rainbow bridge where he was waiting for him ....
He was 15 and a half...a good long life for a sweet dog. Rest well our Beau.
