Our Farm A Century in the Family |
Our farm in 2007 |
We are retired to the farm! After years of city life, we finally moved here permanently in Dec 2005. Brian has remodeled the house into our dream house, and remodeled the Wauwatosa house to sell...
Now we are on Never Sweat Valley Road in New Lisbon, Wisconsin..
We have 120 acres, and rent out some of it to a farmer who puts in corn and soybeans. The rest is wooded bluffs.
It is beautiful and just a joy to wake up in the morning and look out the window.

Things never grew like this in town |
The old outhouse ... |
Its been a dry summer, so its water, weed, water, weed but now the vegetable garden and the flowers are beginning to show the fruits of my labors! I haven't had a vegetable garden for nearly 35 years but I sure have one now... broccoli, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, radishes, onions, green beans, peppers and tons of tomatoes... Now i am canning and freezing and had to buy a FREEZER! I work harder since I retired than I ever did working!!
The old out house was leaning and a lot of boards were falling off, so one of Brian's summer jobs was to repair it. Now it will last for another hundred years...
