Hi my name is Lyn Allshorn.
When I got my first Border Collie "Lady" (ACH Monsalvat Baroness) in 1980, I had no idea how much that decision would change my life.My sister Pat and I were both new to the breeding world and Lady was out of Pats first litter She became our Monsalvat foundation bitch.I was introduced to the show world also at that time.Lady and her litter brother Wizard became our first Monsalvat champions.Pat and I went on to breed many more champions in a partnership that went for many years.Our main aim along the way was to breed dogs that would be suitable for all the things that Borders are good at but also to be the type of temperment suitable for the average family.Pat has since not been as active in the breeding and that is when I decided that I would have my own prefix and came across the name Merrinda (meaning Beautiful). I do take advantage of all genetic testing available.All endeavours are made to Breed to the standard and to breed Quality in both conformation and temperament.I am actively showing in the conformation ring and competing in Agility.My dogs are also trained in obedience.
