Great work Banjo & Sally.

Below is Phily (lying down & brother Ace) who is my youngest hopeful. She is from Georgia who I imported from the USA in whelp. Philly's dad is primarily working lines, so she and her brother Ace bring some new bloodlines into Australia.

30th August, Minor Puppy in Group
31st August, Best of Breed!

I hope you enjoy looking at my dogs, cats & other animals.

My girls only have litters occasionally. Lots of thought and planning goes into each and every litter I breed. All dogs and bitches are x-rayed and scored for hip dysplasia, prior to having their first litters, and all pups are checked for Collie eye anomoly. My pups and kittens are raised in the house with their mums. The pups spending up to four months being house puppies before spending any time in the kennels. The kittens are in the house until they are ready to go to their new homes.

I started back in 1986 with the purchase of a collie as a present for my friend, Len. Then next year I was interested in having something to do on weekends. Try dog showing he says!
As the first girl was not purchased as a showdog I went back to the breeder and was offered another girl, pick of her litter. My very first show was the Collie Club of NSW, National Show in 1997. My girl Krystle was 3rd in her class out of 27 pups. I was hooked.
With time and research I came to learn more about our beautiful breed and a particular bloodline always caught my eye, the Corydon line.

After moving to Tasmania I was lucky enough to become friends with Mim Bester of Baqilodge Collies and purchase from her Baqilodge Evening Star who was down from two Corydon imports. Some time later Mim let me know of a proven brood bitch that was for sale, down also from a Corydon import. Tyagong Goldstars Hope came to live with me in 1993, what wonderful additions these two girls were to make to my kennel.

With the addition of Australian Shepherds, life will never be dull. I had admired these dogs for many years before getting one myself. In 2001 I went to watch the Victorian Australian Shepherd specialty show. There in intermediate dog class was a lovely looking young blue merle male who really caught my eye, Ch Hats Creek Hitchn A Ride to Oz (Imp USA) aka Hiker. Some months later a puppy appeared in the showring here in Tasmania - sired by Hiker - I knew then that I had to find one for myself. I found there was a litter in Queensland sired by Hiker, Brenna bowled into my life in 2002 and the rest speaks for itself. These dogs are great companions, and are will to take part in any activity you can think of! Mine love herding sheep, and many excel in obedience, agility & flyball. Herding is great fun and it is great to see the dogs do what they were bred to do. I had a great opportunity to lease, with Kate Lorkin of Rozate Australian Shepherds a wonderful dog, Ch Windfalls Craftsman, he has now returned to USA, but puppies from him can be seen around Australia.
My thanks go to Kate Dourley (Rozate/Mazasuka Knls) and Karen Sherlock (Tillsun/Mazasuka) for trusting me with many of their dogs and being great mentors for me in starting off in this wonderful breed.

I added Norwegian Forest Cats a little while ago, they have their own section - have a look! They are the second largest domestic breed of cat that originated in the forests of Norway. They have a wonderful long coat that is relatively easy to maintain. Large ears and a long tail are a feature of this breed. They are one of the few cat breeds that will come down a tree head first. The breed dates back to the days of the Vikings, cats with a long history.

Above is Double Grand Champion Snowstars Xavier, the only Norwegian Forest Cat to have won Supreme Exhibit in Show at an Australian Cat Federation National Show! He did this in 2007. I am very proud of my wonderful silver boy!

Thanks to Alison Roberts of Snowstars Norwegians and Denise Grace of Jaymlynkatz (NZ) for trusting me with some of there beautiful cats, both have also been wonderful people to deal with and a wealth of knowledge about NFC. Alison not only sold me my first cats but helped me contact the right breeders overseas when I was looking to import.
