Achievements:
Parson (previously Jack) Russell terriers have been part of our family since the 1980s. Our daughter Marley is pictured above with "Casey" our first. Casey was purchased from friend Mary Bacon who was then riding director of Dartmouth College, and manager of the college's Morton Farm. Bred by Mary, Casey was born on Morton Farm in New Hampshire. Mary and I were both members of the JRTCA for several years during this time.
From the moment we brought Casey home we were hooked, and Parsons have been a part of our family ever since. Casey lived to 13 1/2 years, and is buried in our Aspen grove. She was a wonderful family member, and helped raise 4 Guide Dog puppies with daughter Marley for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. in San Rafael, CA, teaching them their place in the world.
We lost Casey at about the time the JRTAA was working toward recognition in the AKC. Because I enjoyed AKC conformation showing and performance events with my Labradors, I waited for AKC recognition before beginning my search for our first "show" Jack Russell Terrier (now Parson Russell Terrier). That was Ch. Fox Valley Sprint. Click on PRT girls link for more information.
