International Federation of Sleddog Sports
As the World Governing Body of Sled Dog Sports, IFSS is a coalition of National Federations, and Founding and Associate Members, established in 1985. Currently, there are 38 National Federation Members, 5 Associate Members and 2 Founding Members. IFSS became a member of the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) in 1986. GAISF is a collection of international sports federations and various other associations. GAISF is a Recognised Organisation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and all IOC International Federation Members concerned with Olympic Sports are members of GAISF.

Alaskan Malamute Club of America
The Alaskan Malamute Club of America, Inc. is the American Kennel Club (AKC) National Breed Club for the Alaskan Malamute. The club has as its main goal the betterment of the breed, and asserts that its membership has an obligation to the Alaskan Malamute breed, to preserve the magnificence of the breed without exploiting it. To that end the Club was established and those goals are kept in mind as we expand into each new area of involvement with our breed. The Club's membership is actively involved in all those facets of the Breed that contribute to these goals.
