Ribbon Parade - fun day out for the kids
The SGRC held its Ribbon Parade on the 25 June.
I (Rebecca) happened to arrange to be in Christchurch for this, as it is a fun show held at a winery!
After the horrible weather in Christchurch, three weeks of rain or snow, the dogs needed some time out of the mud! We cleaned up the youngsters and took them out for a run round. With busy lives, and the boys needing time to look their best, this was a great opportunity to get them out just for some practice. Also helpful for me to see them as they grow - they never behave as well at home when you want to stack them up to look at them!
Cory went Best on Parade, and new boy Bronson went res. dog. Young boy Saint-long legs, won his class and the whole day was finished off with some photo taking - although the dogs were not as trimmed as they could have been, but they were nolonger looking like flatcoats in colour!!
Following this we enjoyed a filling lunch and a glass of vino!
