Token Earning Her CH At A FSSA Supported Entry
Achievements:
Token completed her championship with a BOB win over a special and four majors (three FSSA-supported entries, including the 2005 national specialty weekend with a HUGE Best Of Winners & Best Bred By, followed by a group 4 in BBE group!)
I started training her in agility initally hoping to help her gain confidence since I originally intended for her to be a competition obedience dog. Since I didn't know any better, we enrolled in a local agility training facility where "it's all about speed, forget about control" so we never got a firm grasp of the basics and fundamentals. As a result we have slowly bungled our way through our AKC titles in spite of ourselves. I did eventually enlist in the aid of Sally Hildt and Buck Broach who helped me become a much better handler, because if not for me, Token would certainly have a MACH or two by now. We're continuing on in our quest for agility titles, although a MACH is certainly not on our radar! Token was the first Field Spaniel to be awarded NF, NFP and OFP agility titles! Carla Bunkelman talked me into trying for Token's RN. When I completed that I said "there is no way we are going for our RA!" Well, never say never, because once she earned her first Q at the 2009 national I HAD to complete the title, which she did with three straight Qs in a row!

Token is now eligible for the FSSA Hall Of Fame (pending application)! Wow!
