About Canam
I have a very small kennel in Porter near Houston Texas. My kennel name is short for Canadian American. I am a Canadian who moved to the states with a Canadian golden retriever named Molson (Samberdee's Molson Golden CD). Once I was in America I got my first show golden and named him Miller (Goldstorm Miller Lite Hiccup CD). Thus, I had the "Beerboys". This was the beginning of a lifetime dream of training, grooming and showing goldens.
At Canam Goldens I believe that a Golden Retriever is not only a member of the family but a loyal and loving friend and companion. My dogs are part of my family. They sleep on my bed, travel to the beach and romp and play with me. I breed for temperament, longevity, health and work ethics. I believe in quality not quantity so I only have the occasional litter which consists of performance, show and good looking pet quality golden retrievers. All puppies are home raised, socialized dew claws removed, wormed, vaccinated and micro chipped.
I am a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America and have been a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Golden Retriever Club for the past four years.
