Sophie had a rough start in life weighing only 5 oz at birth. It was doubtful she would survive past the first few days, being less than half the birthweight of her siblings. She had other plans though and early on showed us she was a fighter. She was tube fed for 2 weeks. Once she joined her brothers and sisters at mealtime she wasn't going to let any of them push her away from her Mom. At 8 weeks Sophie stayed behind as her littermates went to their new homes. She thrived with all the attention she got from everyone she met.
On October 15, 2009 Sophie completed her Canadian Championship. This was accomplished in FOUR shows with Joann Griffith handling.. The picture above is from a recent show where she took "Best of Winners" and additionally "Best of Opposite".
I am very proud of this little girl and am reminded through her that good things do indeed come in small packages.
