Photo taken in 1999. Registered with United Kennel Club (UKC). DNA-VIP. Summer black. Old Shininger x Mohns breeding. Sire and grandsire of herding titled and PennHIP, OFA, and CERF certified offspring. CHAZ was my first homebred, and got his nickname from his Charles Atlas physique. He created a dynasty of smart, sound, "doing dog" English Shepherds that lives on to this day. CHAZ'S offspring (from several females) not only resembled him physically -- they also inherited his tractability and work ethic. He was a true "nick". He was also a total wuss who worshipped me, but gave no quarter to perceived threats. CHAZ's life ended too soon, but not before he passed his intelligence, his strength, and his capacity to reproduce quality on to his descendants. The chain reaction of good breeding that CHAZ began continues to this day.
