Bogart
Achievements:
Bogart was a performer from day 1. He won Baby Puppy in Show at his first outing & many more awards before winning his first Gr 1 at 9 mo & finishing his championship.
He earned his CD title at 15mo & then went for a holiday to the USA where he earned his American Conformation title in 2 weekends, winning many group placements on the way. Then it was onto the VCA Nationals at Tampa, Florida where he finished in the top 6 earning a Judges Award of Merit along with his 11yo sire. This was quickly followed by back to back BIS & a BISS before returning home. All this earned him the place of Number 1 male vizsla in USA for 1997 & he remained in Top 10 for 1998 after being in the country for less than 6 mths.
Back home he continued to win many awards including BIS.
He has been a very successful sire with many of his offspring following in his winning pawsteps. All his kids inherit his happy outgoing personality & his love of life & have many successes to brag about in show, obedience, agility, field, retrieving & home protectors. Although shown rarely & usually at Royals or large Speciality shows, Bogart proves he still has it by winning BOB both days at the prestigous Spring Fair, November 2001 under international judges from a large entry of vizslas. Sadly, Bogart died on 13 October 2003 & has left a huge void in our lives & that of our other dogs, esp. his devoted younger brother BillyJack. Bogart's outstanding achievements will live on & he remains the only Australian vizsla to have won BIS on 2 continents & is the first Qld Grand Champion. We will always be proud that we were able to share a small part of our lives with this very special boy.
