Achievements:
Dodger and Jennifer began together as newbies in the show ring in January 2008 and Dodger won a five point major his very first show. Dodger was a natural in the show ring strutting his stuff and earned his Championship in May 2009 and went to the Westminster Kennel Club show in Feb. 2010. Dodger started working towards the Grand Championship in Nov. 2010 and earned it in just 6 weekends, which included 7 BOB wins. Dodger now holds a bronze level Grand Championship. Dodger’s show career included a trip to the Eukanuba National Championship in December 2012 and Westminster again in February 2013 and February 2014. Dodger was in the top owner handled Tollers for both 2012 and 2013.
Dodger is now also competing in multiple performance events.
- Agility – he has earned several titles in Canine Performance Events (CPE) agility and his AKC agility open title in standard and novice titles in jumpers with weaves and FAST.
- Rally – he earning his novice title.
- Field - earned his Toller club field test Working Certificate and is training towards the AKC Junior Hunt test title.
- Obedience - he was the first Toller ever to earn the AKC’s Community Canine (CGCA) title. He has also earned his Beginner Novice title (BN) and is working towards the Novice title (CD).
The club field test Working Certificate also made him a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Champion. He has also earned the club’s Versatility Certificate.
Dodger is also competing in the International Canine Kennel Club (ICKC) conformation venue and is the first Toller ever to earn the Intercontinental Championship and the first Toller ever to earn the International Championship. He won a Reserve Best in Show in March 2014 and is currently competing to be one of the top dogs in the ICKC for 2014.
