HiTorq Shibas is a small hobby breeder established in 1992 dedicated to preserving the natural essence and beauty of the Japanese Shiba Inu. I am a licensed veterinarian who has been successfully showing and breeding dogs for almost 30 years. HiTorq shibas are well known for their wins in the NIPPO forum and in the AKC. HiTorq is the proud home to NIPPO multi BIS winners, mutiple NIPPO Champions and many other AKC champion shibas who are national and regional specialty winners, group winners, and Top 20 ranked. These records have been accomplished over 15 years with less than 20 breedings. HiTorq shibas decend from some of the nations top winning foundation lines and Japanese imports. Years of research and many trips to Japan to exchange ideas with top Japanese breeders has gone into every breeding and resulted in dogs that I am extremely proud of both inside and outside of the ring. My greatest happiness is hearing from the many people who own well rounded and happy shibas that have come from my home. My second greatest happiness is watching HiTorq dogs contributing to other breeder's sound breeding decisions and programs. At HiTorq, temperament and health are first and foremost and being able to compete successfully in both the native NIPPO shows and AKC shows represents the continuing dream I have for my dogs.
