In 1963 my Father bought a Bedlington Terrier for my Mother. Why a Bedlington--well my Mother was a "clean fanatic" and Bedlingtons don't shed!
My Husband & I live in the Town of Deerpark outside of Port Jervis, NY on 8.5 acres of woods. When we moved here, from New Jersey, we had 5 Dobermans and I warned my Husband that when the last Dobie was gone, I was getting a Bedlington! Now 44+ years later after my first encounter with the breed and the company of numerous Dobies, I am the proud owner of 3 Bedli's.
Our first,2K, was purchased in the summer of 2007 as a family pet from a local NY breeder. Our 2K was and still is the premadonna of the house, it sparked an interest in me to try and take it further--
So in the spring of 2008 we welcomed #2, Bandit.Bandit is currently training for Obedience & Rally Competition.
Well,after working with & meeting different Dog people through training, again I wanted to take it further--
So this past July 2009, we welcomed #3, Shylo! Shylo is currently being shown in Puppy 6-9 months Breed Competition and has done quite well for his age. We are striving for Titles for both dogs.
I am a member of the Tri-State Dog Obedience Club.
