Health Tested. All of our dogs are health tested so that we can produce top of the line, healthy, happy dogs. We strongly believe that a healthy dog is a happy dog. Each parent is carefully selected through deeply studied pedigrees, test result history's, and temperament evaluations to ensure the proper outcome of the puppies that we produce. With every breeding pair selected, You can be sure that the puppies produced will be outstanding in many ways. We strive to produce top dogs in Confirmation, Agility, Family Members.
Family. We know that most families just want a healthy companion to live with and love for the rest of their life. When you are looking for a family member, we understand one wants a healthy puppy so that you can enjoy their companionship for a long time to come. We agree. Which is why temperament is a huge deal to us and why it is a vital part in our breeding.
Top Quality. Our dogs are bred in a "High Standard" sort of way. We want to produce top quality dogs that may one day become champions, if not otherwise, become valued members of the family. We do not believe in producing a litter for pet quality only. We breed for the show ring, but know that not all of our puppies will not end up there. Generally if we decide to breed a litter, we are breeding them to keep a puppy back for the future of our lines and for the fun and excitement we get out of being in the show ring!
Dedication. We are dedicated to the improvement of the Basenji breed. There are thousands and thousands of years of hard work that went into preserving the Basenji that we know and love today. We strive to continue that conservation process and to breed as close to AKC standards as possible and to continue the uniqueness that is -- The Basenji.
Love. We love our dogs more than many people understand. Our dogs are not just dogs that are bred and kept for making money. Our dogs are part of our family. They have rules, boundaries, limitations, and lots of love. They are spoiled rotten and cared for just like they were apart of our family. They sleep in our home, usually in our bed under the covers -- Right where a Basenji belongs!! Our dogs are not kenneled --except for when we are
Responsibility. As a responsible breeder, it is our job and our right to away from the home for their safety (and our home's lol)--in outside kennels or made to stay outdoors for long periods of time. They travel with us to the pet friendly stores, for walks, taken along on long hikes, to the dog park for friends, on road trips, and we go to dog shows! We strongly feel responsible for all of the puppies we produce and ensure all puppy owners that we are here for the lifetime of the puppy/dog. We want it to be clear to all of our potential owners that if for any reason, any and all puppies produced from our kennel are welcome to be returned for any reason at any time in their life regardless of age. We love our puppies and our pets and we want them to be safe and healthy in a home, not a shelter put on death row or in a puppy mill setting.
Personality & Temperament. It is our priority to produce dogs of sound temperament and loving personalities. We want our pets to be a loving part of the family. We don't want to produce pets that are aggressive or unmanageable and so we carefully choose personalities and temperaments of the parents to hand down to their children so that "our" beloved pets are "your" beloved pets.
Honest. Ever since i was young, i despised liars. And ever since then and to this day, I strive to be an honest person. I will not knowingly sell a sick puppy to anyone, i will not lie to make a sale, nor will I lie to a person about whether or not I feel my dogs are right for you. If i don't think you are right for one of my puppies, I will tell you so. I care deeply about my family-- About My Basenjis. They are my life and my passion and I will ensure that their safety and health is as important to me as it is to their new puppy owner.
Basenji's are great dogs but are not for everyone! They are full of mischeif, energy, spunk, they get into things, and can be so very naughty you wanna pull your hair out... but once you have one you will never live without another one by your side!
