SIGNS of the END of the AGE

< < < Your Choice is Your Eternity > > > follow Christ >>> ~ Signs of the End of the Age Mat 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. Mat 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things [the buildings of the temple]? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. ^ -------------------------------------------- Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you before. Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. ----------------------------------------------- ~ The Day and Hour Unknown Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. [see Rev 14:15 ] Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Mat 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. Mat 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; Mat 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, Mat 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Faith---Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of GOD, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:1,3,6 (KJV) By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac; and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten son, By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith Jacob when he was dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. Hebrews 11:17,20,21 (KJV) By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharoah's daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Hebrews 11:22,23-25,27 (KJV) And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthah; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to fight thr armies of the aliens. Hebrews 11:32-34 (KJV) The trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearence of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though you see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. I Peter 1:7-9 (KJV) For therein is the righteous of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17 (KJV) Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thy goest. Joshua 1:9 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (KJV) For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 (KJV)

JESUS(Faith)

King James Version: Hebrews Chapter 11 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. ---------------------------------------------- 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. ----------------------------------------------- 21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. 27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. ----------------------------------------------- 31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

JESUS

STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD KJV 2 Peter 1:4 . Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. The promise of Christ The seed of Abraham KJV Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. KJV Matthew 1:1 1. The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. The Savior of the World KJV Acts 13:33-39 33. God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 34. And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. 35. Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 36. For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 37. But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. 38. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39. And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. KJV Isaiah 53:5 5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. KJV Romans 5:6-9 6. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

JESUS on trial for "our" sins.He has already been beaten, spit upon, lied upon, abused for us.

True, these are merely photos from a movie, but they represent what took place to our LORD JESUS CHRIST,on our very undeserving behalf. What truly took place, couldn't be shown on film for the graphic nature.JESUS was beaten with whips that had pieces of bone and metal in them.HIS face was marred horribly.HE was laughed at,tormented, spit upon, all so that you and I,might have a chance to go to Heaven.GOD "allowed" this, our of HIS love for us.--Would "you" allow your only Child,to be given up in the place of another, that was to be killed, that deserved to die?Would you allow your only beloved Child, that loved you,did no wrong, and lived to please you, suffer for someone that HATED you?DESPISED you?CURSED you?GOD did and does.--Many of us in our natural state think"I've never killed anyone, nor stolen anything.I'm a good person, why would I go to hell"?Because, the only "good" person was/is JESUS in the flesh.EVERYONE else is "born" into sin.No matter how good, how helpful they are,we have "all sinned and come short of the Glory of GOD".We are hell-bound if we do not accept JESUS as our LORD & SAVIOR.HE alone is the WAY,the TRUTH,and & the LIFE.No man, cometh unto the FATHER,"except" thru JESUS.

JESUS,suffering on the Cross,for a people that laughed,tortured and didn't deserve HIM.

At a glance,to those who don't know,if could appear that JESUS had been defeated.Seeing HIS suffering and death on the Cross.BUT,without seeing and knowing what HE endured for "us",we couldn't begin to appreciate HIS undeserved love for us,or how important HIS RESURRECTION was. Here he suffered more than any man ever could, was "forced" to carry HIS own Cross that had to weigh a great deal, after HE had been beaten and tortured.Be nailed to it,knowing that the "worst" was yet to come. Not HIS death and suffering that was near, but HIS "bearing"our burden of sin,so that we may have a way into Heaven, and worse still, having ALMIGHTY GOD,to have to turn from HIS Suffering, while HE was on the Cross,as GOD is HOLY and can NOT tolerate sin in HIS PRESENCE.That beating and blood that was shed on Calvary Hill, was for "us".JESUS walked the walk.HE did/does love us so much that HE died for us.And rose again. As much as our parents, children, spouses may love us,and we love them,it is NOTHING compared to the kind of Love GOD has for us.Keep that in mind next time you think,"Ahh maybe tomorrow,I'll get right with GOD,I'm partying tonite".IT would be a shame to end up with someone on the opposite end,who hates us and wants the worst for us,"That Old Serpent, Called The Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world".Choose wisely.

Hell

What Does The Bible Really Say About That Place And Those Who Will Wind Up There? Have you noticed how many programs concerning the subjects of heaven and hell, salvation and punishment, etc. are now appearing on TV? The fact that they are being aired in such numbers indicates a high degree of public interest—otherwise the tremendous amount of money and effort necessary would not be expended by those who produce them. But without exception they are carefully constructed to give the impression of a fair and objective analysis—while casting doubt upon the validity of God’s Word. --------------------------------------------- The format is that a panel of experts, both pro and con, discusses the subject at length and viewers are left to draw their own conclusions. But what is not readily apparent to the average viewer is the extreme liberal bias of those who appear to defend the subject from a biblical perspective. For instance, the “religious scholar” Elaine Pagels is often a regular on such programs and is quite adept at injecting an occult point of view through her comments. (Pagels is the author of the book, The Gnostic Gospels—an unabashed attempt to legitimize various Gnostic writings rejected by the early Church as being non-canonical. In other words, those writings failed the tests necessary to be counted a legitimate part of the Scriptures). So while some of the panelists offer thinly disguised ridicule, the others engage in “damning by faint praise!” And the net result is in fact a very slanted presentation of the subject at hand. ---------------------------------------------- A recent program about hell was a good example. For the better part of an hour the viewer was subjected to medieval works of art depicting the horrors of that place of torment while the various points of view were presented. But if one is thoroughly familiar with what the Bible actually says, it will be noted that such artworks are often inaccurate. (A case in point is the recurring depiction of the devil and his angels torturing the inhabitants of hell. But according to the Bible, those evil entities have not yet been consigned to hell and when they do wind up there, they will be on the receiving end of the torture along with everyone else). Also ancient legends from many religions concerning a place of torment were presented during the program that most today perceive as being ridiculous—something also designed to cause serious doubts as to the validity of the concept itself. ---------------------------------------------- So is there life after death with eternal bliss for the redeemed in heaven and eternal torment in the flames of hell for the rest of humanity? The very Son of God, Jesus Christ, said there is and for professed believers—such as some of the panel members on the program—to insinuate otherwise is to contradict His teaching. ---------------------------------------------- According to my dictionary the word history for the word “hell” indicates it has existed since Old English times as a name for the abode of the dead—both Christian and pagan. It was derived from an Indo-European form that probably had the basic sense of “hide,” or “conceal.” And the Old Norse word “hel” not only indicated the abode of the dead, but also the goddess who ruled it. Then it goes on to say that a related Latin word occulere, “to cover over,” is the word from which the English “occult” (hidden) is derived. ----------------------------------------------- The Hebrew word sheol in the Old Testament is sometimes translated as “hell” in our English Bibles. It occurs 65 times in the Hebrew Scriptures and is translated “hell” 31 times, “grave” 31 times, and “the pit” 3 times in the King James Version, whereas 3 Greek words, hades, gehenna, and tartaroo are usually translated as “hell” in the New Testament. (12 times for gehenna, 10 times for hades, 1 time for tartaroo—while hades is rendered as “the grave” one time). --------------------------------------------- Like all other points of doctrine, we must carefully analyze everything the Bible has to say about hell to keep from reaching the wrong conclusion. The concept was not fully developed in the Old Testament and while punishment for sin was taught, it was generally thought to be in this life only. But when the New Testament was written it became clear that God’s punishment for sin was both in “the here and now” and the hereafter! ---------------------------------------------- Contrary to the wisdom of men concerning such a place, Jesus Christ is the authority and He said hell was originally prepared for Satan and the angels because they rebelled against a Holy God: ---------------------------------------------- “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” Matt.25:41 (KJV, emphasis mine). ----------------------------------------------- So when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and became sinners, both they and all their depraved offspring became liable for that very same fate after death. And only genuine faith in the shed blood of God’s own Son (John 3:16) has ever, or will ever, spare a lost soul from going to that horrible place. ----------------------------------------------- And where hell-denying (and/or hell mitigating) “preachers” are concerned, I have nothing but contempt for them because they intentionally disregard clear and unambiguous teaching by the Lord Jesus Christ on the subject. Like the founder of the Jehovah’s Witnesses cult, Charles Taze Russell, they show disdain for the concept by denying it altogether or attempting to greatly lessen the severity of its punishment. Quite often those of this ilk who do admit to its reality claim that hell is eternal separation from God and no fire is involved. But in Matthew 25:41 (above) the Lord said it is “everlasting fire.” Then in the following passage, He tells us the rich man in hell made the following comment: ----------------------------------------------- “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame” Luke 1624 (KJV, emphasis mine). ----------------------------------------------- The Greek word translated as “flame” is phlox and was consistently rendered as such by all the English Bibles up through the 1611 King James Version, as well as “flame” or “fire” by the vast majority of those done afterwards. So in light of Matthew 25:41 and several other passages corroborating the concept (which we will cite next), why so you suppose anyone claiming belief in Christ would be so audacious as to claim otherwise? ----------------------------------------------- “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone” Rev.19:20 (KJV, emphasis mine). ---------------------------------------------- “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever” Rev.20:10 (KJV). ----------------------------------------------- “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” Rev.20:11-15 (KJV, emphasis mine). ----------------------------------------------- Honestly now, how can anyone read these passages and believe punishment in hell—then ultimately the lake of fire—involves eternal separation from God and nothing more? ---------------------------------------------- A favorite argument they use against the concept of literal fire goes something like this: “Jesus referred to the place of punishment as being ‘outer darkness’ (Matt.8:12; 22:13; and 25:30). So how can fire and darkness coexist?” The point being that everyone knows fire gives off light and therefore it and total darkness are mutually exclusive. But this otherwise reasonable argument is based upon the belief that the laws of physics are immutable. And while that may be true for this present sphere of reality, why should anyone assume that an Omnipotent God cannot change them if He chooses to do so? Or that the lake of fire will not be in an entirely different realm where such physical laws do not apply? Please be advised that all such attempts at using human logic to explain away the supernatural are unwise, to say the least. ----------------------------------------------- Hell is a place of unquenchable fire: --------------------------------------------- “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire” Matt.3:7-12 (KJV). ----------------------------------------------- “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth” Matt.13:41-42 (KJV). ----------------------------------------------- “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched” Mark 9:43 (KJV). ----------------------------------------------- Hell is a place of misery and pain: ----------------------------------------------- “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name” Rev.14:10-11 (KJV). ----------------------------------------------- Hell was created for all eternity: ----------------------------------------------- “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt” Daniel 12:1-2 (KJV). ---------------------------------------------- “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal” Matt.25:46 (KJV). ----------------------------------------------- ”And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” Jude 1:6-7 ----------------------------------------------- The occupants of hell: Satan (Rev.20:10) The antichrist (2 Thess.2:8) The false prophet (Rev.19:20). The fallen angels (2 Pet.2:4) Judas Iscariot (Acts 1:25) 100% of those who never received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior: ---------------------------------------------- “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” Rev.21:8 (KJV, emphasis mine).

GOD's "Promises"

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalms 34:17 (KJV) Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalms 37:4-5 (KJV) As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Psalms 55:16-17 (KJV) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jer 33:3 (KJV) And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matt 21:22 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil 4:6 (KJV) I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Tim 2:8 (KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 (KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 (KJV) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1 John 3:22 (KJV)

GOD Chose Israel

Rom 3:1-2 1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.(KJV) ---------------------------------------------- Good Morning! Have you ever wondered whether God revealed Himself to people before the time of Abraham and Moses? Have you ever wondered if God spoke to people who have started other religions, such as Buddism, Islam, the American Indian religions, and some of these other religions that even proclaim one God, but don’t follow fully the teachings of Christianity. ---------------------------------------------- You know, knowing there is only one God is not a new thing. And many pagan religions have recognized that there is a head god -one over all the rest. Not all of them have had that kind of belief, but many have. I believe that is because these people had the sense to realize someone had to start the ball rolling. You would be amazed too how many of these groups have a memory in some form of the flood that God sent during Noah’s time. Sometimes-and I don’t mean groups from the Middle East-sometimes these groups of other religions have a legend of a few people and sometimes even of some of the animals surviving a flood that flooded the whole world; and in a few instances I have learned, they even felt that it happened because of the people of the world being guilty of something. The stories vary, but that flood really was not forgotten by quite a few groups of peoples. Course we all know that all of these groups were descendents of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The Bible does not tell us if Noah had any more kids, but if he did, there is no record of them and Genesis says ----------------------------------------------- Gen 9:19 19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. (KJV) So based on verse 19 here, Shem, Ham, and Japheth were the ones to bring about the repopulation of the entire earth. So what has this to do with Romans 3:1-2? This is the connection. Yes, God did speak to people before Abraham’s and Moses’ time but much of God’s Word and Laws were not written down till Moses. Now God had determined that the choosing of the people was through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and that God would bring into existence a people for Himself to whom He would reaveal Himself. It was to the people of Israel (Jacob) that God gave His oracles. ----------------------------------------------- Exod 6:7 7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. (KJV) for God had not forgotten the people of Israel as He tells Moses: ----------------------------------------------- Exod 3:7 7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;(KJV) Now God had already set a time period for the people to be in Egypt and Genesis 15 God gives Abraham a glimpse of the future of the people including that they would be in foreign land at least 400 years. They actually left 430 years after they arrived there. And what did God say to these people? ----------------------------------------------- Exod 19:5-6 5 'Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.(NKJ) 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.(KJV) Here you see the evidence of God choosing the people of Israel above all the peoples of the earth to be a people all God’s own and to be His priests. What does He say about the other nations? ----------------------------------------------- Deut 4:19 19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.(KJV) ----------------------------------------------- Rom 9:4 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;(KJV) You see God decided to reveal His will, His truths, etc. to the people of Israel, and arranged that all the other nations would be allowed to be pagan and worship false gods. These other nations were not going to be held to the same standard as the people of Israel were. Yes, God did punish these other nations for their sins, but it was because they became SO EVIL, that it was needed that they be removed-at least from influencing the Israelites. But God still loved all these other folks, but they just were not His specially chosen children like the Israelis were. Remember the story of Jonah? God wanted the Ninevites to repent and sent them Jonah who rebelled against their being spared from judgment but eventually realized he had to obey. And when he preached, the people repented and God spared them for a time longer than He would have had they not repented. Remember Abraham’s hope that God might find even 10 righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah. And God okayed not destroying those people if at least 10 could be found. Well, sorry to say, 10 were not found. But if they had been there, there would not have been the destruction of those 2 cities and 5 more from the plains around the Dead Sea. ----------------------------------------------- So those of you who have ever had the impression that other religions are just as valid as the original Judaism and as valid as Christianity are mistaken. Some folks think that just cause some of these groups have some fine ideals and even some fine beliefs, that they are equally in touch with God. Nope, the Bible says otherwise. The Bible explains that salvation had to come from the Jews through Jesus Christ, and Jesus let everyone know that no one could have a relationship with God the Father, except through Him. To get to know God the Father, you have to get to know and love and follow the Son. ----------------------------------------------- Ps 147:19-2019 19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. 20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.(KJV) ----------------------------------------------- So when Paul introduces this reality in chapter 3, he also brings upthis question. Is the fact that they were chosen out of all the peoples of the earth any advantage since the Jews by disobeying God invalidate their circumcision? His answer is yes, all because God gave to them His Oracles, His truths, prophecies, laws, etc. They have great advantage. To this day the Messianic Jews have a greater understanding of the New Testament so many times than we Gentiles do because they grew up in the culture that Jesus grew up in-or at least close enough. This being the case, the Messianic Jews of Paul’s day, the first disciples and apostles and later Jewish converts, were able to give us in the Gentile world the Word of God, the knowledge of who is our salvation and what it all means. ----------------------------------------------- So my admonition to you this morning is, praise God He sent us His Word through the Jews and it is up to us now to reveal to unbelieving Jews the full truth of the Jewish religion which is Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and is the Passover Lamb who paid for all of our sins-theirs and ours-and the relationship God wants with us can be had through Jesus. Praise God He chose the people of Israel and today’s Jews. Sure most are non believers, but the numbers of Jewish believers are growing. God also still has a purpose for these non-believing Jews to play in the world’s arena of history. He is still bringing about the fulfilling of His promises and they are a part of the grand plant being worked out by God. And as Paul states time and time again, there is a remnant of Jews who would be saved. That remnant started their existence with Jesus and continues now to this day. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. They shall prosper that love thee. Psalm 122:6

POWER PRAYING

Jesus taught a message about how to pray that is radically different from what we hear in many circles today. You see, many feel that we are to pray for someone only one time and then cease praying for them. These people reason that if we pray once and they don’t receive, they either have sin in their life or they have no faith. (Many mature Christians can indeed pray once and get the job done.) Those beginning their Christian walk, however, may not be able to see instant results. What Jesus taught for them can be seen in the following Scripture. Luke 18:1-8 1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (KJV) This is very simple. Jesus said that even a judge who could care less about the plight or justice of a widow would move to her defense if it would benefit the unjust judge. Then Jesus said that God also would indeed avenge the needs of His own elect when “they cry unto him day and night.” Now, crying unto God day and night doesn’t sound much like the religious cliché’s going around the land today. No. When we pray and minister for and to someone and the answer is not immediate, we stay the course. We do not quit. We continue to pray for them until God avenges them based upon our own “crying out day and night unto Him.” Paul buttresses what Jesus taught. He said that we are to pray without ceasing. See the following Scripture. 1Thes 5:17 17 Pray without ceasing. (KJV) Matthew faithfully recorded Jesus' additional teaching on this subject. See the following Scriptures. Matt 7:7-8 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV) In the preceding verses, "ask," "seek," and "knock" are three Greek present tense verbs. Greek present tense verbs are primarily used to designate an action as "continuous action in present time." Consequently, the above verse means to ask and "keep on asking," to seek and "keep on seeking" and to knock and "keep on knocking" continuously in present time. The ones asking, seeking and knocking and keeping on keeping on keeping asking and seeking and knocking will receive. Doing things Jesus’ way gets results. Doing anything based on the lack of faith of many today is disastrous, powerless and leaves the people for whom we pray absolutely helpless. Stay the course dear ones and you will win. You will receive. This is the key to power praying.

The Anti-Christ

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of the Lord is present. Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come the falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he, as God, sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Remember ye not that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what restraineth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work; only he who now hindereth will continue to hinder until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12) Across the pages of Scripture passes a character who is awesome and appalling. This menacing figure is mysterious; he is hazy and enigmatic. Sometimes he’s a shady character. Again, he is an evil influence. Then again, he is an angel of light. There is actually no crystal-clear, cameo-cut presentation of him. He moves on the borderline of the natural and the supernatural. Who is this man who is called “that man of sin” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3? Some expositors from the very beginning have seen him as only an evil influence in the world. We will look at that passage where the apostle John speaks of him as “that spirit of antichrist.” Of course, this does not preclude him from being a person, which I believe he is, and I think most accept that today. John does identify him as a person, and John alone calls him by the name Antichrist. This does not mean, of course, that only John refers to him; Antichrist has many names in Scripture. Just as most crooks have aliases, Antichrist has more aliases than any person I know of. He has thirty names which are given on the pages of Scripture. Also, many figures of speech are used in God’s Word to speak of him, to set him before us, and they occur again and again.

The last days.....LOOK UP!!!!!!!

Luke21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Look at today's headlines and Scripture and Propehcy is being fulfilled EVERYDAY!! Never before in our history, have all of these things taken place as they are now. When was the last time you saw Natural Disasters the magnitude of what we have experienced with the frequency they are coming? When in our lives have you saw back to back around the world Political & Religious upheavel as it is now?Wars and rumors of Wars. The Middle East has always been a powder keg,but look at it now.Government overthrows and unrest at a frightening pace. Our economy is failing miserably. There are food shortages around the world.Outrageous fuel prices.Lack of money, jobs and most importantly morals. I won't use a car,but rather a bus for this:GOD doesn't take the back seat in our lives anymore, but rather the last couple seats from the back in the bus.Soon,it will be the back of the bus.The further HE goes back, the worse our lives and circumstances will become. While HE may be found,we need to fall down on our knees and ask JESUS in our hearts and lives to live and Reign. It is as simple as that.Attending Church and living a "good" life will NOT get you into Heaven.Only the Blood of JESUS will. Despite what bigwigs,Obama,Oprah,Tom Cruise,Joel Osteen and many others of their kind tell you, there is only ONE WAY TO HEAVEN,AND THAT IS THRU THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST. When JESUS returns for the Church and HIS people, that's it.Those left behind WILL face the rapture. And it will be a looong 7 yrs,of trouble that hasn't been if all the troubles in history were combined.Folks can still seek JESUS and be saved, but NOW,there will be a huge price, much higher than giving up "sowing your wild oats" or whatever reason folks may use now.You see then,it will be the price of their lives.BUT JESUS is faithful and Just and CAN'T Lie.HE will accept us unto HIM. BUT if you wait, you will be hunted, persecuted and no doubt killed before joining our SAVIOR.Keep that in mind.Cause if you think"Well,I'd like to get saved now,but it would be too hard.My friends wouldn't like me,I'd be mocked,I'd have to give up doing this or that".Friends, that is like a picnic to what you will face during the Tribulation. Seek the LORD while HE may be found.
