Hi! We're Jimmy and Cora Fields from the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Both of us have been involved with the sport of pure bred dogs since we were young. We purchased our first AKC registered dog together more than 20 years ago. Between us, we have owned all four of the “Bull and Terrier” breeds - American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Colored Bull Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
We met our first Staffordshire Bull Terrier when we were showing Bull Terriers in Southern California. We met a couple who had been given a Stafford as a wedding present. They didn’t know much about showing dogs and weren’t even certain he was nice enough to show. They went on to finish his Championship and are still showing Staffords' to this day. We knew right then that we would one day own a Stafford. Now we have five, with our first litter of puppies competing in the show ring.
We are a small kennel in the mountains of Western North Carolina, just five miles from the North Georgia border. We will only breed our dogs occasionally and always with the improvement of the breed as our main goal. Our dogs are raised indoors with lots of love and affection, as members of our family.
Staffordshire Bull Terriers are not a dog for everyone. They require a lot of exercise and interaction with their family, good basic obedience training and proper socialization. They are not a dog to be left in the back yard to their own devices. They are smart enough to know how to get what they want. They are always ready to go for a walk or a hike and enjoy a good chew on a nylabone or hoof. We exercise our dogs daily and use consistent training to produce a well rounded companion. Our puppies will be born and hand-raised in our home, they will be given their first shots and will be socialized prior to going to their new homes.
Our dogs are health tested for hereditary diseases and are kept current on all the proper vaccinations. They are raised on a combination of natural and raw foods and enjoy very good health. They have successfully competed in the conformation show ring and are now getting ready to try some performance events.
