Saltydog Kennels had 3 dogs competing in the February 13th &14th, Conformation and Obedience Trials in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Saltydog's Blazin Trail "Smokey" earns first win toward her CD title at the Halifax 2010 Dog Show.

Also, not to be out done was Chloe, who at just under one year of age has aquired her very first hunting title.
Chloe competed in the Working Certificate test and also passed with extra style points. She is now known as Saltydog's Covered In Clover WC.

On Sunday, August 9, 2009 Deke became Saltydog Kennels and Nova Scotia's first CKC titled NSDTR Master Hunter dog. He competed this past weekend at the Eastern Flyway Hunting Retriever Club in Brooklyn, NS. It took two days, but on Sunday we were able to put in a very solid effort (no handling required on any of the "marks") to secure that required fifth leg to give Deke the official registered name Redland's Pegasus Decoy MH,WCX,WC(usa),CD.
Thanks to our home club and all the participants that made this weekend especially memorable!

On June 20 &21, 2009, Smokey and Deke competed in New Brunswick at the Moncton Retriever Clubs annual Hunt Test. Deke completed the third leg toward the title of Master Hunter on Saturday. Smokey began her Junior Hunter title and had passes on both Saturday and Sunday. She now has 2 of 3 legs required to become a Junior Hunter. Congratulations to both and a big thank you to the Moncton Retriever Club for a great weekend of competition!

On Sunday, May 10th, 2009 Chloe wins Best-of-Breed at the Dartmouth Kennel Clubs spring show held at Cole Harbour Place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She is just 7 months of age, but already has demonstrated the same elegance as her mom Slipper's. We will keep you updated as "Chloe" continues with Conformation Showing.

On May 17, 2008 Redland's Pegasus Decoy SH WCX WC(usa),CD competed for the first time in the Maritimes in a Master Hunt Test. This CKC Hunt Test was held at Milford, N.S and was sponsored by Eastern Flyway Hunting Retriever Club. Deke passed on Saturday and received the first of five legs required to achieve the title of Master Hunter!
On June 28, 2008 at the Sunpoke Retriever Hunt Tests in New Brunswick, "Deke" gained the 2nd leg for his Master Hunter Title. Thanks to the Sunpoke Hunting Retriever Club for all your great hospitality.
