Show activities:

We've not been very involved with our dogs in the show ring for some time although Claire enjoys stewarding around the Canberra region.  We had our first day out for the year at Murray Valley Kennel Club shows in Albury recently with Philippa, but it was a case of enjoying the food and wine of the Rutherglen region more than success in the ring!  We will continue to show Philippa and Siegfried at some of our favourite country shows during 2009.

Golden Retriever Club of ACT:

There is no Golden Retriever Club in the ACT.  Information about the golden retriever can, however, be accessed via the web site Golden Retrievers in the ACT:  http://www.actgoldens.org/  The web site provides contacts for breed information and obedience training.

Golden Retriever Rescue and Older Goldens:

From time to time we get involved in rescuing goldens from the dog pound or other unhappy situations.  Unfortunately there are always older goldens looking for good homes.  If you are interested in giving an older golden a great "forever" home you might like to contact Golden Retriever Rescue through the links on this web site.
